Mike Sferro
Producer & Lighting Designer

Mike Sferro has been working in theatre for over 20 years. In that time he has designed or stage-managed over 250 productions in high school, community, college, and professional venues. This is Michael’s 12th year as producer of CAMEO, a project that is near and dear to his heart.

Currently, Michael is the Production Manager for the Medina Performing Arts Center and is privileged to work with the students there, teaching them design theory and stage management.

As an arts advocate, Michael is the President of the Medina County Arts Foundation, bringing the Akron Symphony Orchestra and Chorus to Medina for the Medina Holiday Pops concert, where over $40,000 has been raised and donated to the music and drama students of Medina High School.

Michael was particularly honored to have received the 2016 Individual Service to the Arts Award given by the Medina County Arts Council. Michael has been fortunate to have spent time in New York City with some of Broadway’s best lighting designers; studying their work and bringing a bit of the artistry of the “Great White Way” back home to the Performing Arts Center.

He resides in Medina with his fiancé, Ryan. When not working on artistic endeavors Michael can be seen at his favorite place - Walt Disney World, or of course at his day job where he is Vice President of Lending at Towpath Credit Union.
